North East, PA (June 14, 2014): The New York-Pennsylvania Midget Association sponsored by Bonnell's Collision invaded Lake Erie Speedway for the Race to Read Night at the Races presented by HealthAmerica and Fox66.

In the regular Lake Erie Speedway classes Jim Tobin won his second Compact feature of the season and Dave Krawczyk collected his third feature win in as many week in the Street Stock finale. Donald Buell celebrated in Victory Lane for the second consecutive week. Jeremy Haudricourt, in Legends, and Randy Culver, in Modifieds, each won their first of the season.

The U.S. Legends had European - style group qualifying with the fast time being turned by Jeremy Hardicourt with a lap of 17.290. Second quick was Jeff Dunfee with a time of 17.394, then Carl Vilardo IV at 17.398. Winner of the first two weeks or racing, Brandon DeBrakeleer, was fourth quick with a time of 17.425.

The Presque Isle Downs and Casino Lucky Lineup game rolled a '4' for the Bandoleros and an '8' for the other classes to determine the invert for the feature lineups.

The NASCAR Compacts were first up for feature action with Brandon Huffman and TJ Colby starting from the front row. Huffman led at the drop of the green but Colby was the leader at the end of one lap. Jim Tobin was the leader at the end of three laps of green coming from sixth on the lineup. By six laps in Jeff Breads was solidly in second from eighth at the green. At halfway the order was Tobin by eight lengths ahead of Breads, then Colby, Phillip Powell, and pole sitter Huffman. Tobin was unable to increase his lead in the all-green feature and won by that margin over Breads with Powell coming to third before the checkers, and Phil Jackson passed Colby for  fourth. It was Tobin's second win of the season.

Chase Firestone and Daniel Buell led the INEX Bandoleros to Jamie Sax's green flag for their feature. Daniel Buell took the immediate lead with his brother Donald coming to the lead at the end of three. At the end of four it was Matt Mead to the runner-up spot. Daniel Buell got back to second at the halfway point but Donald was not to be caught without a caution. That caution appeared when third-running Mead looped his mount with mechanical problems on turn four at lap seventeen. One lap after green the brothers Buell were side by side but Donald prevailed at the flag for his second consecutive win. Dale Lombardo wound up third with Firestone fourth and Chris Breads fifth.

Charlie Anderson and Tim Arthur brought the Street Stocks to the green flag with Arthur leading the first lap over fourth starting Ed Hall. By nine laps into the thirty lapper eighth starting Dave Krawczyk was leading and looking for his third win in as many weeks of the 2014 season. By twelve laps complete Vern Heddrick was second with Arthur dropping back to third. At halfway Josh Hunter came to third and John Denny spun, doing a '360 in turn four and not necessitating a caution. At eighteen laps in Ed Hall took over third but immediately started spewing heavy smoke, losing fluid and bringing out caution. Under caution fourth-running Hunter also dropped out of the event. Krawczyk led at the restart with Chris Crossman challenging Heddrick for second using using the high side and finally completing the pass with five to go. Krawczyk maintained his lead to the checkers with Crossman second, Heddrick third, Arthur fourth, and Denny just nipping pole-sitter Anderson at the line for fifth.

The U.S. Legend Cars came to the green with Brad Salatino and Matt Hutchinson at the front of the field. Pandemonium erupted in turn two of lap one with four cars winding up coming to a halt on the racing surface when Melissa Brockman spun, collecting RJ White , Jeff Dunfee, and Tyler McArdle. Dunfee, Brockman, and McArdle were able to continue but White retired to the pit. Jeremy Haudricourt came to the lead from fourth on the start when the race got going but another caution was necessary when Brad Salatino spun in turn one on lap two. Are green Carl Valardo came to second and was challenging for the lead by five laps into the thirty-lapper. The two leaders started to distance themselves from third-running Brandon DeBrakeleer while fighting over the lead until lap eleven when Mike Anderson looped his mount in turn four, tightening the field under caution again. At green Haudricourt again led Vilardo and DeBrakeleer with Dunfee up to fourth after restarting from the rear after the first caution. Another caution that slowed the event at halfway resulted in Dunfee getting by DeBrakeleer but Haudricourt and Vilardo were speeding away lap eighteen. At nineteen, DeBrakeleer was again in third. With eight to go Haudricourt was beginning to stretch his lead over Vilardo but both Vilardo and DeBrakeleer closed in when they got to lapped traffic. At the finish it was Haudricourt over Vilardo, who just edged out DeBrakeleer. Dunfee was fourth with Owen Bednasz fifth.

JP Weisser and Michael Walker led the seventeen Plyler Overhead Door Modifieds to the green with Weisser leading over a fast closing Eric McCray, who got by for the lead at the end of two. By six laps in Randy Culver was nosing to the inside of Weisser for second as the leaders caught lapped traffic. At ten laps in Culver was second with last week's winner Scott Wylie now fourth. One lap later Dale Murdock came to a halt against the outside wall in turn three, slowing the action and tightening the field. Culver came around McCray for the lead at the restart and Wylie also got by Weisser for third. At halfway Dominic DePonceau looped his car in turn two, again slowing the race. The last half of the race was run without incident with Culver getting his first win of the season over McCray, Wylie, Carter Mook, and Weisser. Right at the finish, second running Wesley McCray slammed hard into the outside wall but was uninjured in the incident although his car suffered heavy damage.

The nineteen NYPAMA Midgets took to the track with Gordie Steffen and Charlie DeRosia leading the pack. Steffen led the way until lap four when Kyle Hutchison took over at the front with Dave Wollaber fighting with Steffen for second. Wollaber had the spot at lap nine. Andrew Nye took over second at lap 14. Sean Nye also got by Wollaber with three to go but Wollaber got back to third by the finish.
