North East, PA (July 15, 2014): The INEX Bandoleros will be in the spotlight this week at Lake Erie Speedway as Goodwill Industries will present the night and a regional qualifier event of twenty laps for the little racers that have provided some close competition this season at Lake Erie Speedway. Last Saturday the 2013 champion Matt Mead finally broke through to win his first feature of the 2014 season, breaking the stranglehold held by the Buell Brothers, Daniel and Donald. Due to their early season success the Buell Brothers hold down first and second in points with Daniel (two wins) 14-points ahead of Donald (with three wins). Mead is 48-points behind Donald in third. Chase Firestone is a mere five points back of Mead with Dale Lombardo another seven points back in fifth. Can Mead defeat the Buell's again? Can they regain their dominance? Can young Firestone or Lombardo break into the Winner's Circle?

Points leader Eric McCray nabbed his first win of the season last Saturday in the first of the Plyler Overhead Door Twin 20 lappers while Chris Bailey Jr made the trip to Lake Erie Speedway last week and won his second Plyler Overhead Door Modified feature of the season in the second of the twin events. Nineteen points back of McCray in the season long standings is Randy Culver, winner of two features this season. Chris Briggs runs third, a whopping 51-points behind Culver. Terry Akerly and Dale Murdock rank fourth and fifth. Bailey, a part time competitor who races the ARCA series, is back in fifteenth. The top two drivers in this class have three wins between them but McCray leads through consistency. Can Culver win another and take over at the front? Or can McCray keep parlaying top finishes to the point he can't be beat? Or will he step it up a notch and become dominant?

Dave Krawczyk has been unbeatable this season in Street Stock competition. As a result he enjoys a massive 110-point edge over his nearest competitor, Russ Conti. Only thirteen points separate Conti from third-running Jay Queen and another thirteen points are Queen's cushion over fourth running Ed Hall. Chris Crossman is currently fifth. Who, if anybody, can wrest the checkers away from Krawczyk?

Joelle Dziduch picked up her first Compact feature win last Saturday but Jeff Breads has the most wins on the season with three trips to Victory Lane and leads the points by a comfortable 87 markers over Bob Moore. Philip Powell is another six points back in third with an ultra-slim one point edge on Brandon Huffman. Huffman only has a six point lead over fifth-running Phil Jackson. Only 13 points separate second from fifth in this very close contest. Can Breads extend his lead? Will Dziduch win another? Can one of the other early season winners come back to the fore again?

Although winless in 2014, Jeff Dunfee III leads the U.S. Legend Cars points battle by only five over Carl Vilardo IV, who picked up his first win of the season last week. Only four points back in third is the three time winner Brandon DeBrakeleer. There is only a nine-point difference from first to third! The distance back to Owen Bednasz in fourth is a massive 98 markers with only another four back to fifth running RJ White. When is Dunfee III going to win his first? Can DeBrakeleer regain his early season form?

The points battles are becoming more important to the drivers as the season has hit the halfway point. Winning is now more important than ever. Who will collect the championships at the end of 2014?

Following the racing entertainment a fireworks display will be presented on the backstretch.
