Erie Sports Commission

The major goals of the ESC are to attract, create, support, and host sporting and recreational events that have a positive economic impact on the region, and assist in maximizing the potential of all regional sports facilities and venues. The ESC will strive to enhance the image of Erie by showcasing the community, promote wellness through healthy lifestyles, and improve the quality of life for community members of all ages.

Plyler Entry Systems (formerly Plyler Overhead Door Company) was established by Ernie Plyler, Jeff's dad, in 1967.
Jeff worked evenings, weekends and summers while in school and upon graduation in 1978 joined the company full time. A year later, the first employee was hired and a full-fledged overhead door installation and service operation was on its way.

Now, over 50 years later, the company is a third-generation family run business and introduced a new name — Plyler Entry Systems — to better reflect the products and services that they provide.

Today three generations of the Pullan family are actively involved in the day-to-day operations of the business. Jim Sr. Owner and President continues to oversee the company’s operation. Jim Jr. oversees the company’s sales and information technology, Steve is the plant and procurement manager and Bruce manages the company’s Quilting Department. Daughter-in-laws Pam and Lori manage the company’s office operations. Grandson Aaron manages production control while continuing to learn all aspects of the business. Aaron’s wife, Jeanette joined the company in 2019 and manages product costing and inventory control. The Pullan family takes great pride in playing a daily role in the operation and success of the business.
